FOXLAKE SUMMER COACHING PROGRAMMES – FOX CUBS AND THE CUTTING EDGE PROGRAMME

Foxlake is Scotland’s first Wakeboard Cable Park! A new sport has come to Scotland for the first time right on your doorstep. We open on the 30th of June through to the end of October 2012 for our first summer season. The sport of wakeboarding is governed by Waterski Scotland and British Waterski and Wakeboard (BWSW) and all our staff are qualified cable wakeboard coaches. Wakeboarding is similar to snowboarding but on water, giving you the chance to feel the same thrill but without the cold!

To introduce this sport to the youngsters of East Lothian we have put together a series of coaching opportunities to get involved this summer. Each programme is based on the BWSW Cutting Edge Programme and tailored to the given age group.

FOX CUB’S SUMMER COACHING 8-12 YEAR (P4-P7) 9-11AM 4 DAYS PER WEEK
This programme takes the complete beginner through a participation programme up to (or all) the Bronze Award process for the Cutting Edge Programme and teaches the basic skills for wakeboarding.

Places Available – 8 per week

This 4 day course will make riders eligible to join the Fox Cubs Club

FOXLAKE CUTTING EDGE PROGRAMME 12-17 YEARS (S1-S5) 11.30-1.30 4 DAYS PER WEEK
This programme takes the complete beginner through the Bronze Award process for the Cutting Edge programme and teaches the basic skills for wakeboarding.

Places Available – 8 per week

This 4 day course will make riders eligible to join the Foxlake Wake Club and able to enjoy wakeboarding in our pay and wake sessions with confidence.

Dates for both programmes – The programme will run throughout the holidays from Monday – Thursday for 5 weeks starting Monday 9th July.

Cost – £90 per week (inclusive of wakeboard/wetsuit/safety equipment)
If you are not able to make one of our coaching weeks we offer beginner coaching courses for £40 per 2 hours session. We would expect beginners to have 3 lessons before becoming a member of one of our Foxlake Clubs.

The Foxlake Wake Club and Fox Cubs Club cost £50 to join and offers further development opportunities for competitions and coaching to further the Cutting Edge Programme. The days of the week for the clubs is to be confirmed.
